Heavy Weather is a hard hitting three piece blues/rock band fronted by FM and Bernie Marsden Band guitarist Jim Kirkpatrick. They perform a mixture of popular originals and well-worked covers.
Jim is primarily known as the guitarist with British melodic rock legends FM with whom he has toured with such greats as Journey, Foreigner and Toto as well as having appeared at festivals such as Download and Graspop.
With FM Jim has co-written three albums and several Radio 2 playlisted songs. As well as his tenure in FM, Jim plays guitar regularly for Whitesnake's Bernie Marsden (writer of Here I Go Again) and singer/songwriter Thea Gilmore and is regarded as one of the UK's premier slide guitarists.
This year you can catch Jim playing solo on Monday 11 am at Blues Alley and later on Monday at 7pm at The Shroppie Fly with his band Heavy Weather.
