Heidi Browne

Singer/Songwriter Heidi Browne is a BBC Introducing Pick for 2013, who in early 2014 was crowned the overall winner of OpenMicUK. She was also shortlisted for Jamie Cullum's Big Audition in 2011 and has released two albums of original songs which have been featured on BBC 6Music, Amazing Radio and a host of regional stations.

Heidi has been gigging regularly since the age of 16. She's supported Beverly Knight, Jack Savoretti and Canadian folk award winning duo Madison Violet. Heidi has also worked with numerous musicians such as singer Ashley Fayth, Adam French and Bob Hart of Manfred Mann's Earth band.

Heidi is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist from a musical family. Her dad toured with Kate Bush and is the keyboard player with Barclay James Harvest. Her music ranges in genre from rootsy-pop to jazzy-folk, seasoned with reggae influences and a touch of the theatrical.
Following a Masterclass at Abbey Road Studios, BBC Radio 2's Tom Robinson described her song 'G.I.R.L.F.R.I.E.N.D' as "immaculate". Shortly after, the song was picked up by International Publishing Label 'Massive Talent'. These days she also does some presenting for Fat Pigeon Live.

We are really excited that Heidi will be performing again at this year's Audlem Festival. You can catch Heidi at No 11 Cheshire St. on Monday at 12.30 and atThe Bridge Inn on Monday 7.30pm with her band.
